My last relationship ended last year and since then I have not actively been dating men. Last night when I was sitting at the coffee bar that I like to go to on Friday night's I had someone actually try to pick me up. It was a bit of a wake up called and as I sat there with this guy at my table and he was talking to me about the book he was reading I realized that I am a very young woman and that I should be out there enjoying myself instead of always being such a loner. I enjoyed ourconversationvery much, he was so interesting and as we chatted and laughed I wished that I could continue mu conversation with him longer or see him again. After an hour of talking he leaned over to whisper in my ear and he asked me if I was dating anyone, I laughed andadmittedthat I was not dating men at all andhadn'tbeen for a while but I was also to shy to give him my phone number when he asked for it. He gave me a quick embrace and bid me goodnight with a very sweet smile and a wink.

After he left I swear I could have kicked myself, I asked myself over and over again why I had not given him the number. Especially since I liked him, I mean it was so obvious that I liked him, thought he was funny and found him interesting. Even though I have not been dating men for over a year I still know that it's hard to find all three of those qualities in a man and I don't know why I was so stupid. Then the idiot, that's me by the way, stayed until 1 a.m. waiting and hoping that he would come back. Of course this was not a romantic comedy and he did not come back and I felt like a total fool walking home so late by myself.

After only 4 hours of sleep I woke up with a new resolve, first of all I am going to begin dating men again. Second and most important is that I am going to look for this guy, at one point he mentioned that he liked going to watch American idol at a pub in the village so Thursday night I am going to go into each one of the pubs there and find him. When I do I will hand him my phone number and tell him that I am available.
