My husband and I were sitting and talking about times that we had before we had met each other. He said that dating women that he had met in bars was the usual way that he would go out. He was telling me about an old girlfriend that he was seeing before we had met. He said that she was pretty but not as gorgeous as me. I thought that was really sweet for him to say that. I do absolutely adore him. He always tries to make me feel special and loved. Even talking about times before we had met, he always considers my feelings.

Dating women for him wasn't that big of a deal, is what he was trying to explain to me. I tell him that it is okay for him to talk about it with me. I know that he had a life before me, and that him telling me how he felt is a good way for us to communicate to each other. As he would talk with me, he would caress my arm to show me how much he cares for me, and I love that.

I think that we are perfect for each other and I wouldn't want any other man to be by my side. Even though it has been a long time since he was dating women, it still is sort of hard to listen to him describe how he would go out with them on a date and have fun. It is just that I am in-love with him so much, the thought of losing him would just kill me. He says that I have nothing to worry about, that he is in-love with me and would never even dream of being with anyone else. I know this to be true, and it is perfectly natural to feel a little jealous when talking about him dating women when he was single.

I do believe that him and I have something very special in our relationship. I think that our relationship is so strong that we will live happy, long lives together. But with every healthy relationship, it still needs to be nurtured. The honesty, trust, and communication still needs constant work to keepthe relationship as strong as it is now. To maintain this kind of relationship requires work. Just like a car, you have to keep it maintained to keep it in good working order.
