The water's sound was loud. Every splash was echoing in the shower. But she couldn't hear any of it. All she could hear was his voice, saying her name in a deep whisper. Just remembering it makes her body tingle. She remembered the warmth of his caress that filled her heart with passion. She did not expect a younger man would make such an impact on her.
Yes, she was now with a younger man. It has been a while since she last had a relationship. After breaking up with her last boyfriend, she swore off to stop dating men.
But he approached her. He said he's been fascinated with her. His confession took her aback. She dismissed it as a prank then. Their co-workers have been trying to get her a partner for their own amusement. There was no way that could be true.
Unlike others, he stayed with her even after she turned him down. He was persistent, but he knew his limits. He would ask her out to lunch, knowing she would refuse to go on dinner. Everytime he had a chance, he'd whisper the same confession over and over.
"Why do you keep saying that?" she would ask.
"I just want to. You know my heart would overflow and explode if I don't let out my feelings of passion out," he would say while laughing.
He might have been joking, but then again he might not have. She did not care much anymore. She finally gave in to the younger man's charisma. She slowly felt herself wanting more of his attention. And he didn't fail to give it to her. After a long time, she finally felt happy being with another man again.
She suddenly felt silly, reminiscing about the past at such a late hour. And in the shower too! But she couldn't help it. Everything has just turned wonderful.
"Hey," a familiar voice said in a whisper. She felt her heart jump as she suddenly found her lover standing next to her. In a quick swoop, he held her in his arms, his lips gently touching hers.
She returned his kisses full of passion. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she smiled to herself, thinking that this time, she would never let go.
