Kimmy held the phone with her shoulder, listening to her best friend A

Kimmy held the phone with her shoulder, listening to her best friend Anne talk endlessly about her most recent blind date. Turns out the fellow had been less than passionate and, in fact, was quite dull. Anne had a lousy time and it seemed to Kimmy that she always had much more to say about the bad dates than the good ones. So letting her best friend chatter away, Kimmy kept herself busy in the kitchen and enjoyed the aroma of the pies that were cooling on the rack.
"Kimmy, you're such a passionate person! How can you not be seeing anyone? It's been so long..." Anne trailed off. Kimmy hated the reminder. "Yes, I know," she replied, "but you remember how I felt on that last blind date. Who was that guy you set me up with? Harvey something?" She heard Anne giggle. She had told Kimmy he worked in her office but, in truth, he was the guy that came in to water the plants around the company and she had hardly even known him at all. Although, truth be told, she could have known him by aroma alone. Kimmy curled up her nose at the memory. It's no wonder she wouldn't accept another blind date if Anne was the one arranging it!
After she got done with her phone call, Kimmy sat down at her laptop to check her email. Nothing important to answer. She checked her favorite sites and no one seemed to be online. So, to pass the time, she just started surfing. As she checked the movie listings for the cinema up the road, she noticed a flashing ad in the sidebar. It was for a free online dating site. Although she had laughed at those sites in the past, for some reason this ad caught Kimmy's full attention. Maybe Anne was right. Kimmy was a passionate woman and it had been so long since she and Brian had been a couple. They remained the best of friends but she really missed the intimacy of a lover.
After staring at the flashing "click here to join" button for a good long time, Kimmy finally gave in. She completed the registration information, received her welcome message and instructions for creating her new profile and began. Looking up at the clock some time later, she was surprised to see almost two hours had passed. She was pleased, though, that she had created a wonderful profile page that she was really comfortable about - until she thought of Anne and laughed at loud. "One more detail to add," Kimmy thought to herself. She typed, "Has a sensitivity to aroma and prefers sweet scents like vanilla and apple pie." She smiled, resisted the urge to specify "No Harvey scent, please" and submitted her profile, wondering where this all might lead.
