My friend is a workaholic. We work in the same organisation and meet each other often. But our conversation never goes beyond work. I feared that she is so obsessed with her work that she shuts out everything else. Lately I discovered that she was dealing with some psychological issue and was engrossed in the work all the time so that she can block out disturbing thoughts.

I thought that internet dating is something which is used by teenagers to have a date with someone they do not even know and then if they feel like carrying it on, they hang on with them or just part ways. But recently I had an experience where I stopped thinking that and felt that this is used by people who are actually looking for their soul mates. I know one of my friends who had registered in one of the internet dating site was an active member of that site. He told me that it is a genuine site and we may even come across with someone with whom we might want to get settled in life. He suggested me to use it for once and check if it is indeed worth my money.

They say love stories are for lovers, not for friends. But who are ‘they’? We had our problems, just like anybody. Our poisons gradually bled onto each other but this just made us even more intoxicated. I often danced in a shower of our memories and listened for that beat I had often felt pounding against my very own chest when we were locked close together. But being trapped in a cell with the devil at your service was never a recipe for a happy ending.I still remember that strident scream and the feel of the buzz causing echoes of tiny vibrations against my eardrum. I still can see the puddle of blood on the ground. A bright red staining the grey stoned pathway. I can smell the ashy smell, from the cloud of smoke and I can still hear his last words in my ear. A scream suffocating his last parting shot. ‘I’ll be waiting for you. I love you’. Let me begin with the picnic. James had organised a beautiful wrap of delicacies for our picnic and after being blindfolded and took for my surprise, I was delighted to see a blanket laid with all types of foods - plums, quince, cheesecake and jam tarts, cheese sandwiches and an assortment of flavoured crisps, all laid into individual groups. My eyes quickly examined the surroundings and I noticed we were at the Beach. A few palm trees swayed in the distance and the rippling tides of the ocean crashed gently against the white sand. Nobody was to seen, apart from James of course - It was just me and him. Perfect. He was the most amazing boyfriend ever, and I was a fantastic girlfriend. He always told me I was the best girlfriend he had ever had and how he just loved to look into my soul and run his fingers through my hair and kiss me. We met through london dating. It was a london dating agency and many people had their opinion about london dating but london dating had worked for us and so I was very very grateful.

Me and my wife have now been together for 4 years. We met during a speed dating service and as soon as are eyes met we just seemed to have clicked straight away. I was never nothing really special but she was beautiful. We would sit and laugh for even though it wasn't long, i wanted it to last for a lifetime. The speed dating event happened just up the top of the road where i actually live so i thought that i would give it a go as i had never really liked those events much before as i always considered them to be a waste of time. I must have changed my mind hundreds of times about whether or not to go but i was sure glad that i had chosen to go.

She was inside her bedroom, lying faced down on her bed with her laptop in front of her. She was screening the profiles in the free online dating site. It was not a normal dating site, but it was sleazy and hot. She has no boyfriend and she was not lonely, but she loved to visit the free online dating site to fulfill her sexual desires. She found most of the men were craving for sex and not into real relationships. She was also like that. It was her past time, spending some time alone in her bedroom and started to strip in front of the laptop.

I have just finished college and could not be happier, I spent years of my life studying as hard as possible and the results finally came, they are pretty strong results and I got my degree, all thats left now is to start my new career which I have. However despite all the positive news there is still something on my mind which I have to sort out, the truth is I am longing for someone, someone who can touch my heart, not just a fling, I know a lot of people tend to look for that but not me, I need someone who can touch my heart and warm keep it safe with their now. Yes I know I sound like a romantic but I cant help it anymore, I spent so long studying that my love life was pushed aside but now that's all going to change, I have opened the door to love, lets hope it works out for me. I loved the idea of dating, it would be a big first for me, a relationship is something I always wanted but never had, there were some people from college who I would have considered dating but nothing ever happened, that made me sad, times had changed now though and I was ready to start dating for good.

I dreamed about finding my soul mate. I tried online dating but it was hopeless. I emailed many of the guys but they didn't reply back to me. My brother's girlfriend suggested I have a go at speed dating. I told her that I was a bit shy for speed dating. However she said it would be an evening of many laughs. So that is how I came to go out speed dating.

Chantal and Neha were Americans now, but they definitely had some of India in them. Chantal was 24, and sexy and Neha was 18. Both of them loved to have sex. They often took speed dating group sessions to hook up with people. Both of them were experts at speed dating. They had been speed dating since they were little, and continue speed dating till they died. When they both met the right person, they would be ready for a proposal. When their 40 year old dad is a successful business man and their glamorous 39 year old supermodel mom is a fashion designer, how could not they be rich? As soon as Chantal graduated, her parents decided that it was time Chantal got married. After a few days of searching a guy for Chantal, they found the perfect boy. He was Indian too, but he had been living in American for over 12 years. He was 25 and perfect for Chantal. Well, actually he was Chantal’s cousin. "Honey we need to talk to you," their dad said one day when Chantal was sitting with her parents on the bench beside the pool. "Yup dad, tell me," Chantal said, biting into an apple. "We have decided that it was time you got married," her mom said. Chantal frowned. "Excuse me?" "I know that we have made this decision ourselves but it is time that you get married. You are 24, and it’s a perfectly reasonable age for marriage," her dad said, shaking his head in agreement. "What? Guys, that is great. I will marry, but could you guys just guys give me just some time," Chantal said looking down. "Honey, sure. This went better than I thought. I mean, like in every movie, the parents tell their daughter that we want you to get married. The daughter cries. Runs away. Parents catch her. Force her to marry. But at the end, the daughter marries whom she loves," her mom said. "Yeah, mom, great, but this is reality. And by the way, I don’t even like any guy yet," Chantal said, frowning, not ready to believe what her mom just said. Maybe she was just giving an example of her marriage. Chantal would have to ask later. No wonder. "Perfect," her mom said. "Just make it quick. In a few days we will show you your husband to be," Chantal’s dad said. "Sure," Chantal said. "Neha," Chantal called. "I’m here," Neha said. She was standing near her room’s balcony, wearing a purple shirt and jacket, her hair wet. "Neha, mom and dad want me married," Chantal said. "Tou shaadi kar lou," Neha said, speaking Indian language. "Neha, I can’t understand you clearly when you speak this Hindi language," Chantal said, controlling her laughter despite her tense situation. "Chill, Chantal, so what is the big deal," Neha said, jumping on a beanbag, falling and giggling. "Ha-ha, very funny, but this is important and mom and dad want me to get married," Chantal blurted. "Awesome," Neha said. "You think?" Chantal said in disbelief. Neha hugged her sister and said, "Look, Chantal, every lady has to leave her house one day or another. You can’t keep your marriage behind you all the time," Neha said her spirits still high. "Great, now you sound like mom," Chantal said. "Gosh, now you are acting like me," Neha said. "Sorry I can’t help it, you are my sister." Chantal said. "Anyways, what do you think?" Chantal said. "Umm, do it," Neha said. "Really," Chantal said, arching her eyebrows. "Yeah, the more time you take, more difficult it will be," Neha said. "Point taken. Fine, I’ll tell mom and dad," Chantal said. Chantal told her extremely excited parents. "So Neha, how were you talking sense for the first time today, "Chantal asked, sitting with Neha in her room. "Mom," Neha smiled. "Huh! Mom put you up to this?" Chantal laughed in disbelief. "She knew you would listen," Neha said. "Uh," Chantal rolled her eyes, and went out of the room. That night, all Chantal dreamt of was of handsome guys, bridal dresses, and glass slippers.

Today's technology is a part of our complicated lives today. It has gone from "stone age" to "modern age". Nowadays, you can shop, buy foods and do other stuff just by a click of a button. We are living in the instant world, so there's no need to waste time on almost anything. As the saying goes, "Time is Gold".

My friend which we would keep under the name of Lilly is in her late 30's, has a child from a guy she met while working overseas. Their relationship did not progress into marriage. The guy is in his early 20's and prefers mature woman. But Lilly says she can't imagine herself spending her life with the father of his daughter. Basically, she went in that relationship to give chance to the relationship to see if it would work but it didn't get past the attraction. Today when I ask her, she would say she did that because she wanted to have a baby.

The water's sound was loud. Every splash was echoing in the shower. But she couldn't hear any of it. All she could hear was his voice, saying her name in a deep whisper. Just remembering it makes her body tingle. She remembered the warmth of his caress that filled her heart with passion. She did not expect a younger man would make such an impact on her.

Kimmy held the phone with her shoulder, listening to her best friend Anne talk endlessly about her most recent blind date. Turns out the fellow had been less than passionate and, in fact, was quite dull. Anne had a lousy time and it seemed to Kimmy that she always had much more to say about the bad dates than the good ones. So letting her best friend chatter away, Kimmy kept herself busy in the kitchen and enjoyed the aroma of the pies that were cooling on the rack.

The street is quiet now. I sit on the front stoop, looking at the houses with their lights and promise of warmth and home. Soon the first couple will come wandering through the night, hand in hand. I will see them embrace, lean in close for a kiss, and I will marvel at the openness of their smiles, the wonder of a world where dating free of commitment and consequence is a reality, not just a dream.

It wasa girlfriend at work who suggested online dating. We have known each other since college and we both came into our careers at our company at the exact same time. She had had pretty much the exact same problems as I did, with beinga single working girl who did not have enough time to date. She was cute, funny, and smart but never had time to date. Our careers were very demanding, they involved being available twenty-four-seven and having very little room for flexibility in our schedules. She had started online dating as a way of being able to meet people during her lunch break so that she would never have to leave the office. She had told me that she had met a man who like herself had a very demanding job and wanted a girlfriend who would understand. She had also mentioned that he was very cute and that most of the other men on the site were cute too.

When it comes to dating men I’m not an expert. My last few relationships have completely gone wrong. My last relationship was my longest and it still ended terrible. At first it seemed like we were very compatible. We both liked to cuddle, we both were serious about our education and we both wanted to have two children. At first he was very playful always trying to tickle me and tell jokes. We would cuddle up on his bed to watch a movie or go out to the theater. It wasn’t until later when things started to get ugly.
